AI Process Transformation Lead

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $122,000–$209,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Other listed ranges are $135,000–$230,000 for Washington, D.C. and $153,000–$261,000 for New York and California.

What you will do

• Analyze complex Global Distribution workflows, including activities, inputs, outputs, volumes, decisions, handoffs, systems, controls, exceptions, and bottlenecks.
• Establish performance baselines, identify root causes, and determine where process improvements can create meaningful business value.
• Co-design future-state workflows with business teams and Applied AI partners, deciding what to simplify, eliminate, automate, augment with AI, or fundamentally reimagine.
• Translate redesigned workflows into roles, decisions, handoffs, exception paths, controls, and success measures.
• Stay engaged through rapid build, testing, iteration, launch, and handoff while adapting solutions based on user feedback.
• Partner with adoption and integration leaders to ensure redesigned processes are understood, adopted, and sustained.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, operations, engineering, finance, information systems, or a related discipline, with 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience in process transformation, operations, management consulting, continuous improvement, business architecture, or related work.
• Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and redesign complex business workflows.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar business domains quickly and establish measurable performance baselines and target outcomes.
• Working understanding of generative AI, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience in asset management, financial services, or another regulated environment.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, process engineering, service design, process mapping, process mining, workflow, or analytical tools.
• Experience implementing technology-enabled transformation rather than only developing recommendations.
