Plant Operator (CO2)

Location: Onsite in Cortez, Colorado; must reside within 30 minutes of the office. Travel, rotating shift work, emergency response, callouts, and unscheduled overtime are required.

Salary: USD $35.00–$53.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate production equipment and maintain designated pressure and volume targets.
• Monitor automated operations, conduct daily facility rounds, and identify operational problems.
• Perform equipment shutdowns, startups, general maintenance, and lockout/tagout duties.
• Monitor SCADA equipment, report issues through the work order system, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Perform building maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete work, and basic construction.
• Respond to callouts and support operations during non-traditional hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial process understanding or the ability to learn through hands-on experience and training.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to pass required Operator Qualification tasks, drug screening, and applicable background checks.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other assigned computer programs.
• Ability to speak and understand English; must be able to work onsite and reside within 30 minutes of the office.

Nice to have

• Associate or technical degree.
• At least one year of experience operating or maintaining gas processing plants and equipment.
