PhD Scientist (Fabric Enhancers)

Location: Ivorydale Innovation Center, United States; on-site 4–5 days per week

What you will do

• Develop a pipeline of technologies and materials for Fabric Care products, including liquid fabric enhancers and in-wash scent boosters.
• Design technical programs to evaluate, prioritize, improve, and commercialize promising technologies.
• Develop cost-effective solutions that improve the performance of formulated products.
• Evaluate materials under consumer-relevant conditions and establish structure/property/performance relationships.
• Collaborate with scientific experts, mathematical and molecular modelers, formulation specialists, and process engineers.
• Advise management on research trends, identify technical connections, anticipate issues, and develop intellectual property.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, including organic, physical organic, organometallic, inorganic, or materials chemistry; graduate students within nine months of obtaining a PhD may also be considered.
• Collaborative approach and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Independent problem-solving ability and capacity to learn quickly.
• High standards of quality and efficiency.
• Availability to work at the Ivorydale location 4–5 days per week.
