Cyber Security Engineer SME

What you will do

• Manage up to 10 A&A packages, ensuring timely updates, accurate documentation, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Develop A&A packages from inception through final Authority to Operate approval and maintain POAMs after approval.
• Provide evidence in customer A&A tools and process Security-Relevant Changes across system configurations.
• Collaborate with the ISSM and development teams on approvals, compliance, patching, and software-version maintenance.
• Perform vulnerability and compliance scans with Rapid7 and conduct audits using Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, and AWS CloudTrail.
• Validate AWS configurations through the AWS Console and work with Lambda, containerized platforms, JIRA, and Confluence across multiple customer environments.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, or information assurance.
• Strong expertise in computer network design, implementation, and accreditation.
• Expertise in certification and accreditation processes and relevant security policies and frameworks.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple contractors supporting program objectives.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
