Principal / Solutions Architect (Databricks)

What you will do

• Design enterprise data architecture from logical through physical implementation across greenfield and consolidation environments.
• Build data models supporting current and future client data needs.
• Define non-functional requirements, including data velocity, change frequency, and data ownership boundaries.
• Apply Databricks and medallion architecture across bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Develop substantive content for client-facing presentations and executive-ready materials.

Requirements

• Experience with enterprise data architecture and data modeling.
• Ability to define non-functional requirements and ownership boundaries.
• Fluency in Databricks and medallion architecture.
• Experience producing presentation-ready content for clients or executives.
• Strong written and spoken English is required for professional client and team communication.
• Ability to work as a senior individual contributor in a highly client-facing role without direct reports.

Nice to have

• Experience designing data mesh operating models.
• Insurance or risk domain exposure.
• Experience scoping source systems outside direct control.
