Construction Quality Assurance Testing Technician (WAQTC/ACI)

Location: Lacey, Washington, United States

Salary: $22–34 per hour, depending on qualifications.

What you will do

• Perform construction material testing and inspect materials for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Review approved construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Communicate inspection findings with contractors, foremen, superintendents, project managers, building inspectors, and the office.
• Write concise inspection reports using contract, drawing, and applicable code terminology.
• Complete quality records and coordinate inspection scheduling and sample pickups.
• Ensure contractors comply with project specifications and pursue additional field-testing certifications.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous construction industry experience is required.
• Preference for one or more of the following certifications: ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, or WAQTC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage a detail-oriented, multi-task workload.
