Translator, Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) - 100% Remote - Contract

Location: 100% remote; current work authorization in Canada is required. Toronto office listed as the office location.

Salary: CAD $36–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Translate French-language marketing, financial, advertising, and other materials for Fidelity Clearing Canada.
• Edit and proofread internal and external translations to ensure accuracy, appropriate style, and brand consistency.
• Review and approve French materials in consultation with managers.
• Research financial-market terminology and maintain the internal terminology base and glossary.
• Coordinate timelines with internal partners and escalate unresolved issues when needed.
• Monitor language trends and ensure content meets Fidelity’s quality standards and industry requirements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of translation experience, preferably in the financial or related industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and French are required.
• Knowledge of financial markets and terminology.
• Accuracy translating in both languages, strong organization, self-management, and the ability to work with changing priorities.
• Proficiency with machine translation software, including GlobalLink.

Nice to have

• Membership in ATIO, OTTIAQ, or another recognized professional translation association.
• Experience participating in promotional videos for digital content.
