Localization Editor II (Brazilian Portuguese)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bellevue, Washington, United States

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year for most new hires; full range of $85,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate, edit, review, revise, and proofread digital and print content in Brazilian Portuguese.
• Correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, slang, and terminology while maintaining factual and brand accuracy.
• Adapt content for different audiences across trading cards, animated series, movies, apps, websites, social media, and rulebooks.
• Ensure consistency in editorial style and localization terminology.
• Collaborate with editors, translators, designers, project coordinators, and other departments.
• Report project status and progress to the Brazilian Portuguese Localization Editing Manager.

Requirements

• Native-level Brazilian Portuguese and fluent English required.
• Two to four years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated experience translating, editing, revising, or rewriting text-based content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and regular deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn specialized technical programs quickly.

• Knowledge of the Pokémon brand.
• Knowledge of Trados.
• Experience in the gaming industry.
