TL;DR
DevSecOps Engineer (Cybersecurity) (Cloud Security/Automation): Designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions across enterprise cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments with an accent on Zero Trust, cloud security, vulnerability management, and compliance automation. Focus on integrating security platforms, building automation and analytics solutions, and supporting AWS, Azure, GCP, and Microsoft 365 security initiatives.

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States

Salary: $125,000–$132,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Design and implement cybersecurity solutions across enterprise cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Splunk, ServiceNow, Tenable, Microsoft Defender, CyberArk, Active Directory, and cloud-native security tools.
  • Develop automation for cybersecurity operations, compliance monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and data analytics solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and related technologies.
  • Support Zero Trust Architecture, FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST cybersecurity requirements, and cloud security initiatives across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Microsoft 365.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in DevSecOps, security engineering, cloud engineering, systems integration, or security automation.
  • Strong scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD platforms, SQL, SharePoint, Power Apps, and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, Zero Trust, and secure software development practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

  • Security or vendor certifications such as Security+, SSCP, CISSP, AWS, Azure, Azure Security, or GCP certifications.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, Microsoft Defender, CyberArk, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 security, ATO, continuous monitoring, or security automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled cybersecurity tools and cloud security frameworks.
