Principal Engineer (Mobile Consumer Platform)

What you will do

• Define the technical vision and architectural roadmap for the Consumer Platform.
• Lead modernization of a scalable, resilient, cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS digital banking ecosystem.
• Set architecture standards across mobile, web, backend, APIs, microservices, modular UI, and plugin-centric systems.
• Lead mobile architecture across iOS and Android, including React Native practices, app performance, observability, release management, and store deployment automation.
• Guide distributed systems, Kubernetes operations, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, platform resiliency, data synchronization, and enterprise integrations.
• Mentor senior technical talent and partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Support, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 14+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading architecture and platform strategy for large-scale products.
• Deep expertise in mobile application architecture, platform modernization, cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms and scalable microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with React Native, modern web technologies, API design, integration patterns, and backend service architecture.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, digital banking, or other highly regulated industries.
• Expertise in event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and reusable mobile engineering platforms.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, FFIEC, GLBA, banking privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Experience leading large-scale platform transformation initiatives and working with personalization, analytics, or customer engagement technologies.
