Obesity Medicine Physician (Remote) - Part-time

Location: Fully remote, US-based; an active and unrestricted medical license in any US state is required, with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses.

Salary: $94,500–$103,500 USD annually

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care focused on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management.
• Review patient charts and conduct telehealth visits to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Develop treatment plans, manage medications, and support complex or escalated cases.
• Collaborate with and, as needed, supervise Advanced Practice Providers and Registered Dietitians.
• Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications and maintain consistent clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways.
• Participate in team-based care, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree and current Board Certification in Obesity Medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in any US state, with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses; IMLC eligibility is preferred.
• At least two years of post-residency attending experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Obesity Medicine, or completion of an accredited Obesity Medicine fellowship.
• Clinical experience in obesity medicine, pharmacotherapy, behavioral interventions, nutrition, endocrine disorders, and chronic weight management.
• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for a W-2 schedule of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week and current Medicare opt-in status.

Nice to have

• Experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting.
• Medical fluency in Spanish.
• IMLC participation.
