Senior Manager, Materials (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead materials management across receiving, inventory control, material handling, replenishment, point-of-use delivery, WIP, and finished-goods flow.
• Own inventory accuracy, material availability, location control, cycle counting, and corrective actions for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Build and govern scalable materials processes, including Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Kanban, supermarkets, pull systems, milk runs, and point-of-use replenishment.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations to resolve shortages, supplier issues, and production constraints.
• Lead Kaizen events and structured problem-solving using A3, PDCA, 5 Why, Pareto analysis, Value Stream Mapping, and standard work.
• Develop materials KPIs and dashboards while leading, coaching, and developing materials and warehouse teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, industrial engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in materials management, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams in warehouse, materials, inventory, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience designing and managing lean warehouse and replenishment systems, including PFEP, Kanban, supermarkets, pull systems, and point-of-use concepts.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and materials planning; SAP, Oracle, or Infor Syteline experience is a plus.

• APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing certification.
