Senior CS Technical Support Engineer (DUV Lasers)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; work includes customer clean-room production environments, laboratory settings, and approximately 20% travel.

Salary: $125,600–$172,700 annual base salary

What you will do

• Provide technical support for Cymer DUV laser products and diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning light sources.
• Handle escalated field issues using established escalation and service management processes.
• Support New Product Introduction through procedure development, diagnostics, tool testing, training, and on-site introduction support.
• Identify design, reliability, maintenance, and recurring structural issues and drive corrective solutions.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures, Guided Diagnostic Solutions, Technical Bulletins, Field Service Alerts, and Field Change Orders.
• Administer Field Tool development, testing, and release, and deliver advanced field-service training.

Requirements

• BS in a technical field with semiconductor equipment experience, or equivalent experience diagnosing and supporting electronic systems.
• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, analytical troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in oral and written English.
• Ability to work in customer clean-room and laboratory environments, travel approximately 20%, and take rotational weekend 12-hour on-call shifts.
• Must be legally authorized to access United States-controlled technology before starting work.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronics, software, mechanical engineering, optics, and DUV equipment installation and support.
• Knowledge of photolithography imaging systems, DUV metrology systems, DUV excimer lasers, or DUV beam delivery systems.
• Experience with SQL, LabVIEW, scripting engines such as FAST, Spotfire, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of design methodologies, statistical analysis, and graphical reporting tools.
