Senior Digital Accessibility Testing Consultant

Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, Massachusetts; onsite as needed with advance notice. Hybrid employees must work in a Harvard registered state.

What you will do

• Test websites, applications, and documents using manual processes and automated accessibility tools.
• Identify, document, and report accessibility barriers consistently and accurately.
• Provide guidance and documentation for resolving identified accessibility issues.
• Assess accessibility across a portfolio of campus websites and applications.
• Contribute to planning, documentation, tools, and testing processes.
• Coordinate work between Digital Accessibility Services, campus liaisons, schools, and departments.

Requirements

• At least five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of WCAG, ARIA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify accessibility barriers quickly.
• Experience with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, or Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Harvard cannot provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Nice to have

• Drupal, WordPress, or PHP experience.
• CPACC, WAS, ADS, or another relevant accessibility certification.
• Experience with higher-education technology or Harvard systems.
• Completion of Harvard IT Academy foundational courses or an equivalent external program.
