Senior Software QA Engineer and Tester

Salary: $120,000–$142,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, performance, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and product owners throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare test summary reports in ALM and provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Align testing practices with applicable regulatory and accessibility requirements, including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, and Section 508.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive software quality assurance and testing experience.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Experience using ALM tools for test scenarios, execution steps, results, and auditable QA processes.
• Experience with Jira or equivalent defect and project management tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices, strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in government, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.
