Manual Test Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; hybrid with 1–2 days per week onsite

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Review requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Validate application functionality, data accuracy, databases, and system integrations.
• Support Agile ceremonies, release testing, post-deployment verification, and QA process improvements.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain CBP Public Trust Final government security clearance.
• Hybrid availability for 1–2 onsite days per week in Ashburn, Virginia.
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC and STLC, including test planning and test case execution.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• SQL and database validation testing experience.
• Familiarity with data integration and cloud-based applications.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
