Director of Resident Programs

Location: 975 N 5th Ave, St. Charles, Illinois, USA

What you will do

• Plan and lead daily community programs, special events, holiday celebrations, and resident trips.
• Create wellness programming across physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental areas.
• Develop partnerships with residents, families, community organizations, and internal departments.
• Prepare monthly event calendars, newsletters, flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signage.
• Manage the resident ambassador program, department budget, equipment, supplies, and required records.
• Hire, train, mentor, and supervise department employees while maintaining residents' dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Entry-level experience of 0–3+ years, including experience leading small or large group events.
• English fluency required for speaking, reading, writing, and communication.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Outlook email, online learning portals, and social media.
• Positive, professional, creative, and adaptable approach to working with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
• Valid ability and license to drive an automobile required.

Nice to have

• Event planning and experience coordinating community partnerships.
• Specialty skills such as fitness certification, musical ability, or artistic skills.
