IT Tech & Sim Support Specialist (IT Support/Simulation Technology): Providing Tier 1 and 2 technical support for campus systems, classroom equipment, and simulation centers with an accent on desktop support, Active Directory, networked hardware, and clinical simulation technology. Focus on deploying software, troubleshooting complex classroom and SimCare equipment, coordinating onsite vendor work, and maintaining reliable simulation environments for healthcare education.
Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday
Salary: $38,894.07–$68,341.37 per year

What you will do
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support for campus sites, associated campuses, and remote locations.
- Inspect classroom equipment, process repair tickets, deploy software packages, and troubleshoot computers, printers, network, server, and telecommunications systems.
- Support faculty, students, staff, Student Workers, and Support Tech I team members.
- Maintain classroom, laboratory, and simulation equipment, including manikins, computers, projectors, AV systems, cameras, printers, and related software.
- Provide approximately 10 hours per week of intermediate SimCare Center support, including short-notice service calls, equipment setup, training, webinars, and conferences.
- Coordinate onsite vendor work and help maintain equipment and software security across locations.
Requirements
- Two years of desktop support or help desk experience.
- Two years of Microsoft Active Directory experience in a large network environment.
- Entry-level experience with networking, data, and voice systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, installation, troubleshooting, hardware and software installation, and printer repair.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Successful completion of Laerdal, Gaumard, and Learning Space training to obtain SimCare Technical Support Certification.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in a technical field.
- Experience with classroom equipment.
- MCP and A+ certifications.
