Principal Analyst (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, United States; 50% on-site at government facilities primarily in northern Virginia (Crystal City) and 50% telework. Temporary duty may be required 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Serve as a principal analyst to the Director of the Army Audit Readiness Cell on acquisition, financial management, and audit readiness matters.
• Integrate funding, procurement oversight, testing, cost, schedule, performance, engineering oversight, and strategic planning metrics.
• Develop and improve financial management processes, corrective action plans, process flow charts, and audit readiness reporting procedures.
• Plan and lead reviews, coordinate across organizational lines, and provide technical and professional guidance to review teams.
• Evaluate team progress, define review program goals, and supervise internal review policies and procedures.
• Brief and advise general officers, senior executive service personnel, Army audit readiness agencies, and senior command officials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Army and Department of Defense acquisition policies and processes.
• Experience with acquisition management, planning, programming, budgeting, financial management execution, contracting oversight, cost and risk analysis, and engineering oversight.
• Experience developing business process maps and narratives, evaluating key internal controls, and recommending corrective actions.
• Clear and effective communication across organizational levels and communication channels.

Nice to have

• Level III certification in the Acquisition Career Field in Program Management.
• Experience serving as a liaison for financial statement auditor requests and coordinating complete, accurate, and timely responses.
• Experience developing training improvement plans and milestones based on evaluation and testing results.
