Technical Writer I (Technical Illustration)

hirify.global develops the Titan print system and associated hardware for construction technology and field deployments.

What you will do

• Create and maintain operator manuals, maintenance procedures, service guides, troubleshooting references, and illustrated parts catalogs.
• Develop exploded-view diagrams, assembly drawings, annotated schematics, and other technical illustrations.
• Translate CAD models, engineering drawings, and subject matter expert input into clear procedures for operators, technicians, and field personnel.
• Partner with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering to validate content and incorporate product changes.
• Maintain documentation libraries, revision histories, release records, and version-controlled content in content management or PLM systems.
• Collaborate with Training and field personnel on instructional materials, certification content, safety documentation, and usability improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, technical illustration, or a combined role in a hardware or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to create professional exploded views, assembly diagrams, annotated schematics, and other technical illustrations.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or equivalent technical illustration and desktop publishing software.
• Experience working from CAD models, engineering drawings, and subject matter expert input.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to produce clear, concise procedural content for technical audiences.
• Familiarity with documentation version control and structured documentation management practices.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, KeyShot, CATIA Composer, or similar CAD and 3D visualization tools.
• Background in construction technology, robotics, heavy equipment, or industrial automation documentation.
• Familiarity with S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, DITA, digital documentation platforms, OSHA requirements, or equipment hazard communication standards.
