Manufacturing Production Documentation Co-Op

Location: Chaska, Minnesota, United States; onsite work in the manufacturing plant

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Review SOPs, work instructions, setup sheets, process parameters, and validation protocols to identify outdated or inconsistent content.
• Observe injection molding operations, map production steps, and align documentation with real-world processes.
• Standardize documentation templates across molding, machining, and quality functions.
• Update mold setup sheets with accurate part numbers, tooling, parameters, and photos.
• Rewrite complex technical content into clear, step-by-step instructions for operators.
• Pilot new documentation formats, collect operator feedback, and support quality, regulatory, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university co-op program and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
• Major in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., January through June.
• Strong technical writing, organization, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of injection molding or the ability to learn manufacturing processes quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Visio or other flowcharting tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
