Applications Engineer (AI Robotics)

Location: Remote within the US, but must live in Texas; the role requires up to 50% domestic travel and availability at the Glen Cove, NY office 4–5 days per week.

Salary: $80,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design robotic solutions with sales teams and customers for AI-enabled applications.
• Install, program, verify, and support RO1 robotic systems in customer environments.
• Develop proof-of-concept systems at the AI lab in Glen Cove, New York.
• Support customers implementing new use cases for RO1 AI functionality.
• Create sample code, white papers, application notes, and marketing collateral.
• Assist engineering with designing and testing expanding AI functionality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in complex technical environments or relevant educational experience in automation.
• Practical knowledge of basic electrical, programming, and mechanical engineering, including DC power and NPN/PNP wiring.
• Ability to write Python scripts and navigate SolidWorks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing work.
• Must live in Texas, travel domestically up to 50%, and be able to work from the Glen Cove, NY office 4–5 days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
