Sr Data Scientist (GCP)

Location: Remote; open to candidates based in Argentina, Chile, or Colombia

What you will do

• Identify opportunities for data science impact and design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions.
• Develop forecasting and optimization solutions for complex business and operational decisions.
• Apply experimentation and causal inference to validate hypotheses and measure business impact.
• Explore and develop solutions using Large Language Models and Generative AI.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML Engineers to deliver production-grade models following MLOps practices.
• Monitor and improve models, communicate findings, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience developing machine learning or advanced analytics solutions in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade machine learning models and working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be based in Argentina, Chile, or Colombia.

Nice to have

• Experience with optimization or operations research and strong knowledge of time series forecasting.
• Experience with causal inference, experimentation, Large Language Models, and Generative AI.
• Knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with large-scale digital products or high-volume operational and transactional data.
