Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid home-office model.

What you will do

• Design and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions for fraud detection, recommendations, personalization, flight optimization, and marketing.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to drive customer and business value.
• Own initiatives from initiation through successful delivery and provide transparency on progress and outcomes.
• Advise stakeholders on effective approaches and keep current with machine learning and AI advances.
• Lead and mentor data scientists and act as an advocate for machine learning and AI.

Requirements

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• At least five years of experience as a data scientist, AI specialist, or machine learning engineer.
• Strong knowledge of statistical, data-processing, and machine learning methods using open-source frameworks.
• Experience building production-ready machine learning solutions and applying MLOps.
• Strong Python development skills, plus experience with cloud platforms and scalable solutions.
• Written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI, large language models, and LLM frameworks such as LangChain.
• Experience with additional programming languages.
