Manufacturing Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop new production lines and establish repeatable, lean processes for new product launches.
• Resolve production issues, field failures, customer complaints, nonconforming materials, and corrective actions.
• Design and optimize tools, fixtures, equipment, technical documentation, and processes for assembly, testing, and repair.
• Lead process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Gemba activities.
• Manage engineering changes, validation activities, preventive maintenance, calibration programs, and CAPEX projects.
• Provide hands-on support and training to production teams and present project updates to leadership and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, plus at least three years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, technical writing, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with fixture design, SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Understanding of basic, digital, and analog electronics, bills of materials, and product structures.
• Ability to develop working prototypes, negotiate effectively, and lead automation projects from concept through implementation.
• Ability to work onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah, and access U.S. export-controlled information.
