Senior Journalist

Location: Washington, DC, USA; onsite work required, including Friday and Saturday primetime shifts until midnight.

Salary: $95,000–$122,000 annually, prorated based on hours worked.

What you will do

• Produce several hours of live television and streaming news coverage on Fridays and Saturdays.
• Build rundowns and maintain high editorial and production standards.
• Write, produce, and edit video for live output covering major global events.
• Oversee journalists booking guests and producing segments for DC television programmes.
• Use digital platforms and social media for storytelling, newsgathering, and source development.
• Adapt coverage in the control room as breaking news and circumstances change.

Requirements

• Must have the right to live and work in the United States, including US citizenship, a Green Card, or other US work authorization.
• Substantial broadcast journalism experience with strong editorial judgment, writing, and production skills.
• Extensive live control room and outputting or line-producing experience.
• Knowledge of world affairs, current events, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history.
• Strong social media storytelling and news-gathering skills.
• Must be willing to work weekends and until midnight in Washington, DC.
