Sr Global Billings Lead (SaaS)

Location: San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule; in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Working from home on Wednesdays is generally available, while Fridays depend on the role and team.

Salary: $121,000–$138,000 base salary per year, plus potential equity, sales incentive pay, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Deal Desk and Sales to structure complex deals, advise on non-standard billing requests, and support the enterprise quote-to-order process.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Technology, Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations on billing systems, SKU launches, and product readiness.
• Own operational support for strategic commercial accounts, including contractual terms, usage, pricing, and invoicing.
• Lead UAT for billing system changes and product releases, validating end-to-end workflows before go-live.
• Manage month-end close activities, journal entry reviews, and AR and billing reconciliations between Zuora and NetSuite.
• Maintain SOX controls, improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization, and lead global billing and offshore vendor teams.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in billings and order management, including direct people management and offshore vendor operations.
• Expertise with consumption-based billing models, including metered usage, overages, and committed structures.
• Experience supporting large enterprise accounts, channel partners, and resellers in a software or SaaS environment.
• Experience with financial platforms such as Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, NetSuite, Salesforce CPQ, or Metronome.
• Understanding of revenue recognition concepts such as ASC 606 and SOX control environments.
• Strong adaptability, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
