Maintenance Technician I (Manufacturing)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America manufactures cylindrical lithium-ion cells for electric vehicles and energy storage systems in collaboration with Tesla.

What you will do

• Modify production machinery through mechanical and electrical hardware changes for new cell models.
• Measure and adjust cell dimensions, machine settings, gauges, and sensors to meet specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, part replacements, and basic machinist work.
• Troubleshoot machinery, recover error codes, restore operating functions, and make mechanical and pneumatic adjustments.
• Inspect hardware shipments, monitor equipment for abnormalities, and report faulty operations or defective materials.
• Record completed equipment work and collaborate with operators on cleaning, repairs, and machine adjustments.

Requirements

• Some high school education is required; a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
• Working-level English proficiency is required for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to stand for most of the workday and frequently lift up to 35 lbs.; heavier loads require a team lift.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Nice to have

• At least two years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Resilience, self-motivation, and alignment with Panasonic’s core principles.
