Electrical Engineer - New Graduate (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Lyndhurst, Virginia, USA. Occasional travel to jobsites may be required, up to 25% during the first 1–2 years of training.

Salary: USD per year, dependent on experience.

hirify.global provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support performed in-house.

What you will do

• Develop electrical controls and power systems for industrial refrigeration projects.
• Produce preliminary and final design drawings and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Complete design calculations and lighting designs for industrial warehouses.
• Create controls bills of materials, take-offs, and ERP data entries, while coordinating material purchasing.
• Submit drawings to management and construction teams and support building, installation, and implementation activities.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams and vendors on manufacturing, part specifications, and fabrication requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or another CAD tool such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to jobsites, up to 25% during the first 1–2 years of training.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Prior electrical design experience.
• EIT license or interest in pursuing a PE license.
• HVAC/MEP experience.
• AutoCAD 2D/3D experience.
• Strong interest in learning electrical engineering and refrigeration systems.
