Senior Fund Accountant (Private Markets)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; all I-9 eligible candidates will be considered. Travel may be required for company offsites.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 base, with bonus and equity eligibility.

hirify.global builds an operating system for private markets, enabling wealth advisors and their clients to access, transact in, and manage private market investments.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end fund operations for complex private equity and venture capital funds and vehicles.
• Manage financial accounting, capital calls and distributions, investor reporting, cash management, and financial statements.
• Review allocations, capital account statements, notices, reconciliations, and other fund accountants’ work.
• Interpret partnership agreements, subscription documents, and side letters to calculate allocations, waterfalls, carried interest, and management fees.
• Serve as the primary contact for fund audits and coordinate with banking, legal, audit, tax, fund sponsors, and investors.
• Partner with product and engineering to test and implement automation and lead special projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fund administration experience servicing private equity and/or venture capital funds.
• Deep knowledge of private markets fund accounting, allocations, waterfalls, carried interest, management fees, and reporting requirements.
• Experience with fund accounting platforms and the ability to learn new systems.
• Experience reading and applying limited partnership agreements and side letters.
• Experience in a regulated and supervised industry, with strong analytical, communication, review, and initiative-leadership skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States under I-9 requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Allvue, Zive, or a comparable fund accounting platform.
• Experience migrating between fund accounting platforms.
• CPA or public accounting experience in an alternative investments practice.
• SQL, advanced Excel, or AI-assisted tools for recurring analysis and reporting.
