Manufacturing Engineer II (Etch)

Location: Austin, TX; 100% onsite at the Austin campus. The role includes approximately 10% travel and is not remote or hybrid.

Salary: $78,500–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects and coordinate product improvements, new product releases, engineering changes, and ePLC deliverables.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, recommend tooling and process requirements, and apply DFx principles to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Develop and use test procedures, support test specification definition, and coordinate test fixture design and sourcing activities.
• Identify root causes of assembly and test issues, drive corrective actions, and prepare failure analysis reports.
• Evaluate and document work methods and business processes, mentor lower-level engineers, coordinate supplier outsourcing, and perform Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis for new product development.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in manufacturing engineering with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to solve complex problems, analyze multiple information sources, and develop new perspectives on existing solutions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, process improvement, quality, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
• Ability to lead small projects, act as a resource for less experienced colleagues, and build consensus across engineering and operational teams.
• Etch engineering experience is highly desired.
