Director, Institutional Investments (Institutional Wealth Management)

Location: Onsite in Kansas City, Missouri, at 1 Ward Parkway. Candidates must have unrestricted US work authorization and must not require future sponsorship.

Salary: $126,830–$215,612 base pay annually.

What you will do

• Manage and expand institutional investment management relationships with executives, trustees, benefit administrators, and board members.
• Market and sell investment and wealth management solutions to foundations, endowments, insurance and healthcare companies, consultants, and other institutional clients.
• Oversee complex pension, custody, trust, escrow, employee benefit, and institutional investment accounts.
• Coordinate onboarding, account transitions, distributions, contributions, funding, documentation, fees, and service-level reviews.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, fiduciary standards, OCC regulations, BSA/AML requirements, and applicable laws.
• Partner across Wealth Management and the broader Bank on business development, process improvement, technology initiatives, and client solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of business experience, including significant experience in investment management, institutional wealth management, or sales.
• Experience developing institutional-market strategies and managing fiduciary accounts and client relationships.
• Proven sales production, business development capability, and strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and risk-judgment skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce or a comparable CRM, and financial technology platforms.

Nice to have

• MBA or another graduate degree.
• CTFA, CFP, CFA, CPA, CWS, JD, or similar professional designation.
• Experience with FIS TrustDesk or comparable trust accounting platforms.
• Experience with defined benefit plans, foundations, endowments, escrow, custody, insurance, or healthcare relationships.
• Marketing, product development, training, process improvement, or technology implementation experience.
