Professional Land Surveyor

Location: Hybrid role based at the SCE facility in Westminster, California; employees are generally required to work and reside in California. Regular facility attendance is required, with remote work on remaining days. Extended work at an alternate location may be required.

Salary: $129,200–$193,700

What you will do

• Advise on survey strategy for major infrastructure projects and guide survey and mapping work from initial request through final deliverable.
• Review and approve legal boundary determinations and complex or high-risk survey documents.
• Support the resolution of disputes and regulatory issues through statutory and legal interpretation.
• Develop and maintain surveying standards, templates, best practices, and risk-mitigation approaches.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning while protecting company assets and sensitive information.
• Mentor Land Survey Specialists and provide technical assistance to junior staff.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience performing complex survey analysis and preparing legal documentation.
• Experience developing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies.
• Advanced knowledge of surveying standards and compliance.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Maintain high standards of conduct and integrity when accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other sensitive information.

Nice to have

• Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of California.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible professional land surveying experience.
