Design Engineer (Civil Engineering)

hirify.global is partnering with a civil engineering and surveying firm serving architects, owners, developers, and municipalities.

What you will do

• Design commercial, municipal, industrial, education, and residential civil engineering projects.
• Prepare studies, preliminary and final designs, permitting materials, construction plans, contract documents, and material specifications.
• Serve as the primary designer and support the Project Manager with cost estimates and other project activities.
• Review work in progress, anticipate technical problems, and resolve workload and engineering issues.
• Interpret statutes and regulations and collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience desired.
• Extensive knowledge of civil engineering and surveying principles and practices.
• Experience designing commercial, municipal, education, industrial, and residential projects.
• Knowledge of municipal government practices and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and strong work ethic.

Nice to have

• Michigan Civil Engineering P.E. license.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
