Senior Autonomy Technical Project Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the hirify.global headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States; occasional travel to operational sites may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead teams solving complex autonomous driving problems through deep data analysis.
• Clarify ambiguous requirements and prioritize competing technical tasks.
• Assess and aggressively mitigate project risks while maintaining detailed status tracking.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with autonomy, vehicle engineering, software, product, finance, and operations teams.
• Communicate technical challenges, root-cause analyses, solutions, and data-backed results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; engineering, computer science, or another highly technical degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as an engineer or in another highly technical area.
• At least 2 years of experience managing direct reports, mentoring, and coaching.
• At least 5 years of technical project management experience, including team management, project planning, status reporting, and risk management.
• Ability to clarify and document ambiguous requirements, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and understand software and hardware development lifecycles, integration, testing, and validation.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with occasional travel to operational sites.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the autonomous vehicle industry.
• 7+ years of project or program management experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing direct reports, mentoring, and coaching.
