Automation Installation Manager (Robotics)

Location: United States (Remote); 100% travel to customer sites required

What you will do

• Lead installation and deployment of automation technology from site installation through System Engineering handoff.
• Manage installation contractors, on-site engineers, customer relationships, and coordination with local building management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local building and safety codes.
• Resolve deployment issues, support project progress, and prevent or mitigate stoppages and downtime.
• Track operational and budgetary metrics and develop standardized processes to reduce installation time and cost.
• Oversee customer training and handoff to integrate the technology into existing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction or installation management; experience managing hardware installations and commissioning industrial equipment.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing construction contractors.
• Knowledge of safety standards and the ability to interpret CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering diagrams.
• Understanding of warehouse management systems, software messaging flows, and IT hardware.
• Strong customer management, communication, leadership, prioritization, and technical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in construction or installation management.
• Project management experience and familiarity with MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or manufacturing.
• Experience with engineering defect tracking software such as Jira.
• High competence in mechanical, electrical, or software systems.
