Design Project Manager (Automotive BIW)

What you will do

• Review project proposals, timelines, funding limits, procedures, and resource allocation.
• Maintain direct customer contact and participate in design review meetings.
• Manage design project work plans, responsibilities, scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve design-related issues with project personnel.
• Maintain job logs for tooling changes and customer documentation.
• Attend and document Standard Component Buy-Offs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 10 years of design experience specializing in automotive Body In White processing and tooling.
• Experience with blueprint reading, manual design, and CAD systems including UG, AutoCAD, IDEAS, and CATIA.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly closures and Body In White; OEM experience is preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, organizational, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
