Solution Architecture Lead

Location: 100% remote from Portugal, with occasional visits to offices in Venda do Pinheiro; occasional travel within Europe required

Salary: €28,000–€52,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead software and solution architecture initiatives across client projects.
• Design and evolve distributed systems using modern cloud platforms.
• Balance delivery speed, system robustness, and technical debt management.
• Guide architecture decisions related to high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide strategic direction alongside hands-on execution.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of professional experience in software or solution architecture.
• Leadership experience as a team lead, chapter lead, technical lead, or architecture manager.
• Strong hands-on software engineering background with modern programming languages, AWS or Azure, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and English skills.
• Ability to work remotely from Portugal and travel occasionally within Europe.
