Data Engineer – Data & AI

Location: Elsbethen, Austria

Minimum salary: EUR 2,362 gross per month; market-oriented compensation is significantly higher.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and support modern data pipelines and data products.
• Develop ELT pipelines for data ingestion, preparation, integration, and operationalization using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, DBT, and Dagster.
• Build secure, scalable, reusable, and maintainable data foundations for analytics and AI-powered solutions.
• Prepare high-quality data, features, embeddings, metadata, and evaluation datasets for production AI systems.
• Collaborate with data science, architecture, DevOps, MLOps, analytics, and business teams to improve data governance, availability, reliability, and quality.
• Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions, improve processes, and document and present outcomes.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or business administration with a focus on computer science, data science, or data engineering.
• Fluent English required; German is beneficial.
• At least three years of experience with analytics platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Dagster, or DBT.
• Professional experience with SQL and Python, plus an understanding of database architecture and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Enterprise experience aligning data-engineering solutions with architecture, governance, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled data-platform tools, hyperscaler data science and data lake platforms, and a willingness to combine engineering with business requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP BW, HANA, or SAC.
• Experience with analytics front-end tools.
• German language skills.
