Maintenance Specialist (Industrial Automation)

Location: Dalmine, Bergamo, Italy; onsite

Salary: Minimum annual salary of €36,000, plus eligibility for a company productivity bonus.

What you will do

• Support maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and resolution of equipment failures.
• Coordinate external suppliers and service providers from intervention planning through completion verification.
• Collect, analyze, and report maintenance and breakdown data to improve KPIs.
• Manage the CMMS, including maintenance records, preventive activities, and equipment history.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for maintenance performance visibility.
• Support equipment improvements, commissioning, start-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering, or a technical diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, engineering, or automation is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to collaborate with maintenance, production, engineering teams, and external suppliers.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and interest in data analysis and KPI management.
• Comfortable communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools, SAP, maintenance strategies, RCA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation, and control systems.
• Experience commissioning and starting up new equipment and automation systems.
