Maintenance Engineer (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Parma, Italy (Relocation support and remote work options available)

What you will do

• Conduct routine inspections and oversee mechanical and electrical repairs and installations.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, planning and scheduling both planned and unplanned work.
• Manage equipment inventory, monitor budgets, and coordinate with external contractors.
• Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis on major failures to prevent recurrence.
• Advise on equipment upgrades and replacements based on operational requirements.
• Train maintenance staff and manage their work schedules.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in similar maintenance roles.
• Proven experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Automation).
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Parma, Italy.

Nice to have

• Advanced certifications in maintenance or a relevant field.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and proficiency with diagnostic tools.
