Senior Software Engineer (ClickPipes/Database Integrations)

Location: Remote (hiring in over 25 countries where ClickHouse has a presence, including the United States).

Compensation: $147,000 – $238,000 (varies by US location) + Equity.

What you will do

• Design and develop high-throughput integrations with databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Solve complex database-related challenges including snapshotting strategies, schema evolution, and data type compatibility.
• Ensure end-to-end reliability by debugging production issues using runtime diagnostics and observability tools.
• Build infrastructure to automate operations and reduce incident response time.
• Collaborate with customers to understand integration requirements and influence product roadmaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
• Proficiency in Go or strong systems programming experience with a willingness to learn Go.
• Cloud-native experience deploying and operating services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with database replication technologies like CDC or logical replication.
• Experience with durable execution frameworks such as Temporal.
• Familiarity with data formats like Avro, Parquet, or Protobuf.
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Background in maintaining or contributing to open-source software.
