Android Engineer, Government Products (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week; restricted to US citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Base pay: $166,000–$195,000 USD annually in Zone 1; other compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits. Additional compensation zones are $147,000–$172,000 in Zone 2 and $130,000–$152,000 in Zone 3.

What you will do

• Build smooth, stable, and scalable Android products for a government-backed long-term investing initiative.
• Develop mobile features using Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Own features from inception through design, implementation, and launch.
• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data teams.
• Improve app quality and the maintainability of the Android codebase.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer applications at scale.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Jetpack; experience with Kotlin and Compose is preferred.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code with strong attention to detail.
• Strong product sense, communication skills, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience is acceptable.
• US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required, along with in-person attendance in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
