Android Engineer, Government Products (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week; restricted to US citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Salary: $166,000–$195,000 USD base pay annually for Zone 1, including New York, NY. Bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits are also available.

What you will do

• Build smooth, stable, and scalable Android products for a government-backed long-term investing and account management initiative.
• Develop mobile features with Kotlin, modern Android APIs, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose.
• Own features from inception through design, implementation, and launch.
• Apply MVVM, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data teams.
• Improve app quality and codebase maintainability while supporting millions of customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer applications at scale.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Jetpack.
• Experience with clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with product managers and designers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to solve technical challenges.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience is acceptable.
