Project Engineer (Construction)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, with travel to a project in Midland, Texas; on-site construction work is required.

What you will do

• Support construction project administration, documentation, procurement, subcontractor scope review, change-order pricing, quality management, and punch-list maintenance.
• Coordinate and maintain construction drawings, specifications, project documents, submittal logs, specification logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
• Review and expedite shop drawings and submittals.
• Use project management software for project and job setup and assist with closeout documentation.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards while coordinating with project team members, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Work across one or more trades under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or higher.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of relevant construction experience.
• College degree in a relevant field, or relevant field-construction operations experience with a commitment to obtaining a relevant degree.
• Fundamental understanding of construction project documents.
• Ability to learn, solve problems proactively, collaborate professionally, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work outdoors, move around the job site, climb ladders and stairs occasionally, move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and maintain consistent attendance.

Nice to have

• Internship experience with an architectural or commercial construction company.
• Experience with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
