Design Engineering Intern (Nuclear)

Location: East Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite role.

Hourly pay: $20–$25 per hour.

Target Rock supplies highly engineered valves and related products to the U.S. Navy nuclear fleet and the global nuclear power generation industry.

What you will do

• Develop fixtures, tooling, and production hardware supporting operations.
• Generate 3D models of parts and assemblies in CAD.
• Create technical 2D detail and assembly drawings with appropriate tolerancing.
• Support design and development projects and help achieve milestone deadlines.
• Maintain and revise existing products and drawings through Engineering Change Notices.
• Migrate legacy I-deas CAD files to the current NX program.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Actively pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Mathcad.
• The position may involve exposure to export-controlled information and additional security screening.
