Engineering Intern (Nuclear)

Location: Onsite in Bridgman, Michigan, United States. Summer relocation may be required for the internship.

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on education hours. A $1,500/month housing stipend is available for interns moving more than 45 miles from their home address.

What you will do

• Collaborate with project teams and experienced engineers on planning, design, and execution from design through construction.
• Participate in design reviews, training sessions, knowledge-building projects, and constructability assessments.
• Visit operational facilities and assist with inspections and testing to understand power-system operations.
• Develop and analyze databases, reports, cost estimates, and dashboards.
• Support documentation and initiatives that improve operational performance and safety.
• Apply safety guidelines and standards in office and field environments while expanding engineering skills.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nuclear, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering in an ABET-accredited program.
• At least one year of undergraduate study completed; graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must work onsite in Bridgman, Michigan, and be willing and able to relocate for the summer if necessary.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, OPT, or CPT.
• Preferred qualifications include a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong communication and time-management skills, and interest in electric utilities, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
