Architectural Designer Intern (Summer 2027)

Compensation: $17–$28.80 per hour

What you will do

• Develop project documents, calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with 3D modeling, conceptual design, field investigations, and red-to-black markup and review tasks.
• Produce floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and installation details in accordance with VDC standards.
• Coordinate architectural work with project leads, other disciplines, vendors, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support multiple architectural assignments while working under the guidance of an assigned mentor.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholders.
• Interest in the food and beverage or life sciences industries and eagerness to apply academic knowledge to real-world AEC projects.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, or Assemble.
• Knowledge of AEC industry regulations and standards.
• Previous architecture or related internship or co-op experience.
