Data Center Technician (HPC)

What you will do

• Monitor power, cooling capacity, environmental conditions, and overall data center infrastructure health.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and manage planned and unplanned facility work with internal and customer stakeholders.
• Respond to electrical, mechanical, emergency, and critical incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when required.
• Maintain operating procedures, facility records, work orders, change incidents, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate contractors, participate in construction and commissioning, and enforce facility safety and change-control requirements.
• Perform facility rounds and support a clean, safe, and compliant data center environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a related degree or technical certification is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Technical knowledge of electrical distribution, emergency power, HVAC, fire protection, UPS systems, PDUs, CRAH units, BMS, and CMMS.
• Ability to perform algebraic calculations, write reports, and interpret schematic and architectural drawings.
• Valid driver's license, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hot and cold environments; shifts may vary by site.

Nice to have

• Understanding of networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, and protocols.
• Related degree or technical certification.
