Engineering Co-Op

Location: Onsite in Tyler, Texas, Monday through Thursday; Friday work location is flexible based on work requirements. A $3,500 relocation/housing stipend is provided before the start date.

Salary: $22.50–$31.00 per hour

What you will do

• Analyze customer-use profiles, product data, production times, and manufacturing processes.
• Improve product designs and manufacturing processes, including metal forming, CNC machining, mechanical assembly, welding robotics, and brazing.
• Support quality-system development, internal audits, process improvement, and quality-procedure documentation.
• Perform electronic product troubleshooting and testing, review component specifications, and identify lower-cost substitutes.
• Support equipment purchases, product-performance testing, industry-standard updates, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Organize analysis results and component pricing data for engineers, product managers, and internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Available to work full-time for 6–8 consecutive months, from January through August or May through December.
• Demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, sports teams, resident advising, or work projects.
• Ability to collaborate, prioritize tasks, organize work efficiently, and learn new information quickly.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
