Industrial Engineering Co-Op

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite clean-room manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Support Industrial Engineers, Production Managers, and Process Engineers on manufacturing and materials process improvement projects.
• Evaluate current processes, conduct time studies, and develop capacity models for critical equipment and processes.
• Participate in daily Gemba walks and help improve standard operating procedures.
• Maintain and update master data in SAP.
• Support initiatives to reduce cycle time and scrap while improving productivity.
• Build Power BI and Excel dashboards with Copilot support to translate data into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts and continuous improvement methods, including Lean and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from January through June; must meet university co-op participation requirements and must not require hirify.global immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
